My Experience with Cosrx Honey Overnight mask
It comes in a squeezable opaque plastic tube with a flip open cap. The tube has a narrow nozzle opening out of which required amount of product can be taken easily. There is no leakage and thus its travel friendly too.
It has a gel like texture which is transparent enough but have yellow undertones. Its non runny and appears semi liquid in nature. Thus feels super light on skin while application.
Performance on skin
I simply loved using cosrx honey mask in winters. It kept my skin hydrated, nourished and plumped as well. I was able to use it as a moisturizer in my morning routine during dry weather but in summers it left my oily skin feel sticky, so I couldn’t use it in morning.
The texture sinks in beautifully into skin making it look soft and hydrated. I did feel stickiness with it post application which never leave the skin if you are living in a non – AC room. In such cases, it works well as a wash off mask only. The mask feels comfortable on oily skin only if you are applying it in an air conditioned room.
The mask is supposed to be used only twice or thrice a week else it might lead to breakouts. It helps in reducing redness and soothing the irritated skin. Whenever I used it in night as a last step, I woke up with a plumped skin with lesser acne marks visible. This means it prevents the moisture loss from skin really well esp. in dry weather & in AC rooms.
Performance on active acne skin
Cosrx honey overnight mask is not suitable to use on active acne or skins with damaged barrier. It contains ingredients which are not fungal acne safe & hence a sensitive skin having active acne should not use it. My skin undergo serious issue in March (some product reaction) due to which I faced a lot of acne on my skin. I used this sleeping mask in the hope of providing some relief to my inflamed skin but it led to more itching making my skin feel uncomfortable.
How to use Cosrx Honey overnight Mask?
As a moisturizer: In AM routine, post cleansing apply a small amount as a moisturizer all over face and tap it in. Follow up with makeup/sunscreen.
As a Wash off mask: In PM routine, post cleansing apply it as a layer all over face and leave for 15-30 min. Wash it off with plain water and apply moisturizer if needed.
As a sleeping mask: In PM routine, once you are done with your skincare apply gel all over face and neck (quantity should be little more than a moisturizer) and massage it well until it starts absorbing. You might feel your skin sticky but that’s how it performs. Go to sleep post 15 min and you will wake up with a non oily plumped skin.

Initially when I used cosrx honey overnight mask in winters, I just loved it. Later when I moved to using it in summers, I was not really impressed with it because of its sticky feel. I couldn’t use it on my active acne skin as well because it caused itching on my skin. So I would only recommend this mask to people with normal to oily skin type who don’t have active acne. Dry skin people can also use it in summers along with other skin care products.
